Person of the Year for Tolerance
Since 2001, the board of the Sugihara Foundation's Diplomats for Life has named a Person of the Year for Tolerance.
A citizen of Lithuania who, by his or her actions, public example or open word, has stood up against xenophobia and anti-Semitism, persecution of others, foreigners, and other ethnic groups, and who has spoken out against the manifestations of radicalism and prejudice in the political and public life of Lithuania, may be declared a Person of Tolerance.
